About Ron

Growing up, my great-grandmother had a photo on her wall of my great-grandfather on an iron beam of the Hoover Dam. This familial history influenced me from a young age and sparked my interest in the trades. As a teenager, I was privileged to work for the well known sculptor, David Best. Watching David’s artistry in steel impacted me significantly.  I continued on in my pursuit of welding after high school and studied at Santa Rosa Junior College under Ben Whittaker. In 2010, I moved to Oregon and took a job working with structural steel for nearly a decade. During this time, I worked on large scale productions, providing X-Ray quality welds. My time in structural steel helped build my skill set, precision, and attention to detail, yet, I always felt a desire to follow my roots and pursue art and sculpture. Since moving back to California in 2018, I have enjoyed running my own business and finding balance between function and art. I take pride in everything I build.
